Sharpness:

Very good at the center, but towards the edges at things turn worse.

x-axis: distance from optical axis in °, y-axis: resolution in arc minutes

Apparent Field of View:

Our measurement gives 81° - that is about the same as the manufacturer data.

Contrast:

Good contrast.

Aberration:

Nearly free of distortion, but noticeable field curvature.

Eye Relief:

Really, really tight eye relief. You have to remove the rubber eye cap to view the whole field. Cutting off the first millimeters of your pupil would help…

Mechanical Quality:

Simple, but good quality with rubber eye guard, grip coated body. Fully multicoated and blackened inside.

Summary:

Cheapest 80° eyepiece I have ever seen. Main drawback is the eye relief. As this eyepiece is nearly free of distortion, it is not surprising that the huge apparent field of view is not perfect to the edge.
